Hilda Carol Taylor
May 28, 1949 – Aug. 26, 2019
Hilda Carol Taylor, 70, of Chesterfield, joyously entered the Kingdom of Heaven on August 26th, 2019, surrounded by her three adoring daughters.
Preceded in death by her husband, Delmer Carroll “Buck” Taylor, Hilda was a dedicated wife, selfless mother, and adored “Mamaw” to seven beloved grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Holly Dvorak and son-in-law Todd Dvorak; daughter, Angela Taylor Rorrer; daughter, Dawn Seay and son-in-law Louis Seay; grandchildren, Zachary Dvorak, Joshua Dvorak, Jonathan Dvorak, Noah Rorrer, Jacob Seay, Benjamin Seay and Madilyn Seay.
Hilda was not only a gifted gardener, but also a talented floral arranger, upholsterer and seamstress. An avid reader with a passion to learn, she often became an expert in whatever she chose to study. Her greatest joy and life’s purpose, however, was to share her love of the gospel, the gift of salvation and the highly anticipated return of Jesus. “For the Lord Himself shall descent from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 7th, 2019, from 10 am until 12 noon, immediately followed by a service to celebrate her life. Visitation and service to be held at Bennett Funeral Home, 14301 Ashbrook Parkway, in Chesterfield.
