Irving “Buck” M. Groome
November 26, 1943 – October 17, 2021
Irving “Buck” M. Groome, age 77, went to be with Our Lord on Sunday October 17, 2021. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Deborah; sons, Mike and Andy, of Mechanicsville; and daughter, Dawn, of Henrico; brothers, George, of Goochland, and Billy, of Louisa; grandchildren, Danny, Lindsey, Kasey, Tristan and Aden; great-grandchildren, Scarlett and Waylon (we will miss you PopPop). Preceded in death by youngest son, David.
Owner of Groome Plumbing and Heating (est: 1969) where he worked with his sons, and then later retired from VA Dept. of Corrections after 30+ years as project manager.
Celebration of Life with family and close friends to be determined at a later date.
I would always ask Laura before family events,
If uncle Buck was going to be there , he was and still is awesome!
Now he’s lighting up the room , with his sister in heaven ,
Hope he meets my mom she would enjoy his company.
