
James A. Edwards

James Anthony Edwards,59, of Goochland,Va. passed away on February 18, 2020 in his home.
James was born to Kristen Jefferson and James Edwards Sr. In Richmond, Va. He attending and graduated from Douglas Freeman high school thriving in track activities and football. He attended J.Sargent Reynolds taking up business and electrician. He soon after started a career at Ferguson Printing Company for several years and ended his career at the United States Post office 18 years strong. James enjoyed fishing,cooking, rooting on the Minnesota Vikings occasionally with a Budweiser in hand and often times attending Quaccasin Baptist church.
He was preceded in death his mother Kristen Jefferson, father James Edwards sr and youngest brother Kevin Edwards. He leaves behind to celebrate his life his lovely daughters and sons, Melissa (Akeem), Ashley (Montrell), Ciarra, Thomas and Steaphon; his lovely grandchildren, Nachiyah, Ie’Shaunae, Mariel and Kingston; his brothers, Robert (Michelle), Christopher and Kevin(deceased); nieces Chasmine, Shania, and Beyla; nephews Brandon, Dante,Trebor, Kejuan and Tanner; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.

James had a kind soul. I think he is the same James Edwards I coached in Gray-Y football. James was one of the “good guys” of this life.
