James L. Macklin , 68, of Richmond went to be with his Lord on Monday, December 16, 2019.
Mr. Macklin is preceded in death by his father, James H. Macklin; and sister, Linda R. Everett. He is survived by his mother, Doris R. Macklin; his loving wife, Deborah J. Macklin; brother-in-law Johnny Everett; daughter-in-law Sierra Macklin; daughter Nancy M. Macklin; son James H. “Jimmy” Macklin II; daughter Amy Macklin Turner; son James L. “Jamie” Macklin Jr.; step-sons Bobby Horsley, Tony Horsley and Scott A. Elitzky; grandchildren Jasmine Macklin, Coral B. Turner, Mackinzee V. Macklin, Jesse M. Macklin, Gray L. Dickson, Caleb J. Macklin, Addison J. Macklin and Dakota M. Macklin; many aunts and uncles; his lifelong friends, Mike Funai and Punky Gene Freeman; and his loving dog, Tinkerbell.
Mr. Macklin worked in the trucking industry and Mississippi Department of Marine Resources as a volunteer marine patrol officer. His hobbies included hunting and fishing.
A memorial gathering will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, December 20 at Affinity Funeral Service Richmond Chapel, 2720 Enterprise Parkway, Richmond, VA 23294.
