Jerry Lee Francis
November 20, 1966 – April 26, 2023
Jerry Lee Francis, 56, of King William, VA. on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 Jerry Francis departed this life here on earth and gained his angel wings.
Born in Wheeling, WV on November 20, 1966 to the late Ronald Lee Francis, Sr and Sharon Tennant Francis. Jerry moved to King William in 1980 with his
family and resided there until his untimely death. He followed in his father’s footsteps by becoming an auto mechanic in his early adult years. He worked
for several companies in the Richmond, Mechanicsville and King William areas. His reputation in the community preceded him as he was called upon often to help others with their cars. He was always there to lend a helping hand whenever someone needed it. When not working Jerry enjoyed spending quality time with his wife traveling to both the mountains and the beach, hanging out with his son, Eric and playing with his grandchildren. He loved relaxing with family and
friends and fishing while drinking a cold Miller High Life. He never missed the opportunity to bring his mom her favorite sweet treats and spend time reminiscing about all the good times. Jerry loved pranking his brothers and found joy in making them laugh every chance he got. He was kind, funny, compassionate and caring and will be missed by all that knew him.
In addition to his father, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Francis Jr (King William, VA), and brother Dale Francis (Cambridge, OH).
Jerry is survived by his wife, Mary E. Francis; son Eric Francis (Allyson); step-daughter Brittany Marsh; step-son, Hunter Marsh; grandchildren Cameron and Grace. He is also survived by his mother, Sharon Francis; brothers Donald Francis, Chris Francis (Sherry), and Randy Francis (Pam), sister Robin Cronin (Jim), and sister-in-law Sharon “Nic” Francis. Jerry also leaves behind to cherish his memory several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews as well as several close life-long friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2023, at King William Ruritan, 156 Ruritan Lane, King William, VA 23086.
