John Christopher Lewis
March 5, 1977 – September 17th, 2021
John Christopher Lewis, age 44, of Henrico, made his ride to heaven’s gates to be with the Lord our God on Friday, September 17th, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, George Lewis, and mother, Darlene Lewis. He is survived by his loving wife, Christina (Chrissy); his beloved children, Brittany, John Jr (Man), and Amber; grandchildren, Brianna and Bryson; sister, Angela Bryant; and brother, Benjamin Potter; father and mother-in-law, Rusty and Ginny Potteiger; brother and sister-in-law, John and Leslie Wilson; his nephew and nieces, Coleman, Destanie, Becca, and Alexis; as well as a host of friends and family members (aunts, uncles, and cousins).
John was a loving husband and an amazing father and grandfather; he was also a very protective brother of Angie. He loved taking rides on his Harley-Davidson Road King, loved camping with the family and especially loved having cookouts or dinner get-togethers with family or friends. John had a contagious smile and laughter, he loved to pick and tease to make everyone laugh. John’s love for all types of music led him into the field of car and motorcycle audio technician, and his love for trucks and cars also led him to learn the trade of auto mechanics. John was all around great at anything electronic. He always worked hard and gave 100% to taking care of his family. John was a big man with an even bigger heart!! John was a great man who loved Jesus. He would tell anybody about God’s love and Jesus our Lord and Savior and then give you a few good songs to listen to that touched and led him to Jesus. He also loved his faith family at North Run Baptist.
The family will have a celebration of life on Saturday, October 16th, 2021, at 1pm, at North Run Baptist Church, 2100 Lydell Dr, Henrico, VA 23228, outside in the front yard under the Magnolia tree that John loved so much. Weather permitting, we will have a small bike ride in John’s honor after the service TBD.
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Man and Amber’s college fund through the Go- Fund- Me page that Scott Moore has created for John.
Chrissy, kids, and family are so thankful for all the prayers, love, and support of John’s friends and family. Words cannot express the blessings and love that have been sent and shown. God Bless
