José M. Salgado

April 1, 1952 – May 17, 2022

José M. Salgado, 70, of Mechanicsville, VA went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

Born on April 1, 1952, in Fuensalida, Spain, José dedicated his life to serving others while working at the Bull and Bear Club in Richmond and more recently at the Westwood Club in Richmond where he had many good friends and coworkers.

José will be remembered by his tireless energy, generous and helpful spirit, dedication and love for his family, and his wonderful sense of humor and positivity.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Pamela S. Salgado; daughter, Evelyn Maria Salgado (fiancé, Jeff Weinert); sons, Daniel J. Salgado of Germany, and Ian Salgado (Jancy) of the United Kingdom; brother, Angel Salgado (Carmen); sister, Magdalena Rico (Eduardo) of Spain; grandchildren, Shara, Matthew, and Dionte Salgado of the United Kingdom; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucilla Rico; father, Prithiany Salgado; and brother, Florenthia Salgado, all of Spain.

A memorial service will be held for immediate family at 11:00a.m. on Friday, July 1, at Affinity Funeral Service Mechanicsville, 8074 Mechanicsville Turnpike, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. A visitation will follow until 1:00p.m.

    and friends. Jose was very special to us, and will definitely

    What a privilege to know Jose’ – full of energy, loved his family and always so upbeat, never without a kind word. He will be missed and remembered by many. Blessings to Pam, Maria and all his family as they grieve the passing of his earthly body and look forward to the hope of the resurrection when we will all be together in the presence of our Lord and Savior. 🙏
