Joyce Harmon Keller
April 25, 1955 – September 18, 2021
It is with profound sadness that our family chain has been broken with the loss of our sister, “Joy”, who departed this life on September 18, 2021 to reunite with our beloved parents, James and Martha Harmon.
Joy leaves to cherish her memory, her sons Adam (Brianne), Matt (April); grandson, Luke; brother, Wayne Harmon; and sisters Joan Alexander, Janet Foster, Karen Drews, and Lynda Harmon. Joy’s years as a R.N. and her kindness and generosity, created such a positive influence on many people. She will be greatly missed by everyone whose heart she touched.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, at West Richmond Church of the Brethren, 7620 Wanymala Rd, Richmond, VA 23229. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor her love and compassion for all animals may consider a donation to the Richmond SPCA or Rescue Group of their choice.
“I have fought the fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. “-2 Timothy 4:7.
I am so very sorry to learn of Joyce’s passing. She and I were great friends for so long and to see this is heartbreaking. Joyce Dale Tyler Robin was a unique individual and loved life to the fullest. And those cats….. I met her sons years ago and she was so very proud of them both. My prayers are with you all.
I am deeply saddened to hear about Joyce. We had lots of good times when I was with the family; never perfect but mostly good. I have a 17 year old son who is a senior in high school. My wife, Susan, and I adore him. Trust in Him during this time of grief.

Joyce is already dearly missed by myself and so many others. My wishes and sincere sympathies go out to her whole family. Joyce’s 65 years in this world made such a difference to so many people including the strangers she met with a huge smile. Her smile sent happiness through you and her laughter as well. She had a life rich in family , dear friends, and a huge bunch of people I never knew. May you all carry her in your heart always as I am sure she will be doing for you. To one of my dearest friends I could encounter in a lifetime. All my love , Debbie Hooper Odell 💕🌺
