Karen Mae Wells Smith, age 57, of Powhatan, Va passed away peacefully Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, Va. S
Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Davis of Cumberland, Va; mother Gladys Kay Belveal; father Teddy K. Wells; and brother Mark Anthony Belveal.
Karen was born July 3, 1965, in Portsmouth, Ohio. She had an infectious laugh and wit; she enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan. Karen will always be remembered for her kindness.
She is survived by her three sons, Anthony Sterling Smith of Fredericktown, Mo., Kenneth Todd Smith of Fredericktown, Mo., and Chase Michael Anderson of Cumberland, Va.; five grandchildren, Chloe, Corey, Gaia, Willa, and Lorelei; five sisters, Christine, Pam Belveal, Becky, Gena, Tina, and brother-in-law Carlos Foster, and Veronica; and three brothers, Colton Scarberry, Lee Belveal, and Ricky Belveal; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews; and; her special friend of 17 years, Jose Leon.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, January 15, 2023. Details will be posted on Facebook.
Although we didn’t live close for many years I will always remember your beautiful smile, your laugh and your extremely skinny legs lol. Was always glad we was cousins and you will be missed by many. Love you all
Karen will be greatly missed. But the memories will keep her alive in your hearts. I am sending love and hugs to the family. May the God of Grace and Mercy grant you peace in heart and soul. And May His love and comfort strengthen you.
Karen was a very happy person when you came to the house .Always wanted to feed you . Smile on her face. Laughing always . Hugs to everyone. She will be so miss . But she’s with her brother, mom and everyone that went before her . Miss you Karen See you one day. No more pain .love you
