Katie Mae Fields
December 26, 1945 – May 14, 2021
Katie Mae Biggs Fields, of Chesterfield County, Va., age 75, passed away May 14th, 2021. She was born to and preceded in death by her loving parents, Ernest Sr. and Lutishia Solomon Biggs. Her older brother, Ernest Jr.; her eldest daughter, Beverly Kay Johnson; grandsons, Rockmon and Altarik Johnson.
She leaves cherished memories to her forever by her side daughter, Arlene Fields Warren and devoted son, Leon Fields Jr., (Tonya); sister, Hattie Florence Brown, and brother, John Biggs Sr. (Nettie); grandchildren whom she absolutely cherished and loved, Terence “TJ” Taylor Jr., and Jessica “J Boo” Warren Fox; as well as great-grandchildren whom she got the biggest kick out of, Brandon and Alonah Mae Taylor and Jarbar Fox, whom she got to spend her later years enjoying. Forever loving sisters-in-law Ethel, Christine and Marlene of the Fields family and Celestine Hill Biggs. And an entire host of family members who loved and adored her that are way too numerous to name but nonetheless important to her.
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Parkway, Richmond, VA 23294.

When I think of your Mom her contagious smile comes to mind, I can’t remember a time she wasn’t smiling when we would greet each other at work. She had a kind and pleasant spirit about her. May the joyous memories spent with your Mom give you peace and comfort in the hours and days to come. My prayers are with you and your family during this time.

I’m going to miss her banana pudding but most importantly I will miss her dearly.

I am very sorry for your loss. I have known Katie since elementary school and we graduated from Brawley High School together. I know you will miss your Katie in this earthly realm, but there is the promise of a sweet reunion in heaven that is everlasting. Thomas Moore said it best. “Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.”
