I’ve been a caregiver for 17 years and Keith was my favorite person I’ve had the pleasure of caring for throughout all those years. He had a caring heart, an infectious smile and loved his wife more than I knew was humanly possible. He will be greatly missed and thought of often. My condolences and prayers to his wife and children.
In George, Iowa there were 4 sisters…Hilda, Lorraine, Honey, and Gussie. Hilda was Keith’s mom and Honey was our mom. All of the sisters were married and engaged in farming with their families. Throughout Keith’s military career, he periodically made visits back to the midwest. There was never a visit that he did not make his way out to our farm. During those visits he was authentically engaged with catching up with Dad and Mom. He would embrace their farm life, and was so interested in any challenges they may be experiencing. That gift of taking time out of one’s busy life to listen to others is rare. I believe it will be what the legacy that he leaves with my sister and I.
