Keith V. Russ, “Catfish”, 50, Richmond, formally of Portsmouth VA, passed away March 25, 2017.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Shannon France; a cousin, Troy Peele; maternal and paternal grandparents; and his faithful best friend, Kierra Princess Puppy. Survivors include his loving parents, Judy Polensky, Portsmouth and Bryon Russ (Teresa) of Montross; siblings John Polensky (Theresa), Teresa Brewer (Millard “Brew”), Mike (Brooke) and Jeanette Stevenson (Mike); three nephews, Shawn Saunders, Brandon Doherty and Thomas Brewer; two nieces, Elizabeth Brewer and Liz Stevenson; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind long time friends, Timmy and Pam Gardner and Tommy and Marie Christophersen. Catfish had so many friends and he will be missed by all that knew him. He had a special family friend that he truly adored, Celine Adelhock.

Catfish’s heart was filled with a lot of love, passion and kindness for everyone. His love for animals was endless. He was an avid fisherman and crabber, as he loved the outdoors and his music. Catfish was a true die hard Pittsburg Steelers fan and also NASCAR, Kasey Kahne fan.

A Mass of Christian celebration will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 413 St.Timothy Lane Tappahannock, VA 22560 on Saturday, April 8th at 11 am followed by fellowship.

A celebration of his life will be held in Portsmouth at Church of St. Therese, 4137 Portsmouth Blvd, Chesapeake VA 23321, Tuesday April 11th, 2017 at 2 pm. A small service will be performed, followed by fellowship in the social hall.
