Kevin Todd Mitchell, 59, passed away suddenly on December 24, 2020. Kevin was born March 27, 1961, in Richmond, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey A. and Julia C. Mitchell. Kevin is survived by his heartbroken family; Karen Cook Mitchell, his loving wife, best friend and kindred spirit; stepson, Stephen Tyler Cobb; sister, Carroll Spain Rowe and her husband Mark; brother, R. Cary Spain and his wife, Paula; nieces, Meredith Rowe, Rachel Spain Lewis (husband, Joey and children, Jack and Sydney), Sara Spain and nephew Tyler Rowe; and aunts Delores Hill and Arvilla Farrier, both of Miami, Oklahoma. He will also be greatly missed by cousins too numerous to list.
Kevin was a life-long resident of Virginia, a Thomas Dale High School graduate, veteran of the U. S. Army National Guard of Virginia and most recently a supervisor at Sabert Manufacturing in Richmond. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and NASCAR Fan. He loved spending time in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, visiting Oklahoma, and riding motorcycles alongside his wife, Karen. He will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered by his family, friends and co-workers.
A private service will be held on January 7, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Affinity Funeral Service in Richmond, VA.

Kevin will be definitely missed. I worked with him for 2 years here at Sabert and he was a straight shootin genuine dude. Rest in Paradise my Dude !!!!!!
I worked with the man for almost 7 years and taught me a lot of what I know, he was a good friend and will be severely missed. Rest in peace Buddy!
