Laurie D. Mainellis
December 18, 1981 – May 17, 2021
Laurie Diane Mainellis, 39, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021
Laurie was born on December 18, 1981 in Tampa Florida. She was preceded in death by her mother, Darien Carol Dorey.
Survived by her longtime companion and constant love and support, Esau’ Orellana, (Richmond, VA); daughter, LaRissa Mainellis; sons, Lewis Altamirano and Antonio Altamirano (Richmond, VA); father, Donald R. Mainellis (Lakeland, FL); sister, Dana Michele Lescallett (Temple Terrace, FL); step-mother, Cynthia Mainellis (Brandon, FL); brothers, Robert Mainellis (Tampa, FL) and Donald Mainellis, Jr. (Hannah) (Boston MA); many nieces and nephews; and numerous other family members and friends.
Laurie’s children, LaRissa, Lewis, and Antonio, were her greatest gifts and lights that shine brightest in her life. She loved and was so very proud of each of them. Laurie’s smile, her joy to cook you up a meal and her compassion for people, especially broken people, will be sadly missed and carried in our hearts. We take comfort in the thought she is at peace and with her mother and Lord.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?” – John 14:1-2
