Obituary message
Lila Holden Shotwell, born April 8,1926, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017.
She was the daughter of the late, Glenn B. and Laura Warner Holden. Survivors include her husband, Stewart L. Shotwell; daughters Anna Lee Brown and Margaret and husband O. Scott Leath; sons David and wife Martha, and Andrew and wife Julie; 12 grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
Lila and her husband celebrated 67 years together. She was a graduate of MCV and a caring nurse who touched many lives. Lila was a member of Seventh Street Christian Church. She devoted her life to family, friends, her church and community. There is a large gap in the hearts and lives of those that knew her.
The family wishes to thank the HCA hospice team that gave guidance during this trying time.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Monday, March 13 at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23294.
A funeral service will be held at 10am Tuesday, March 14 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private.

Lila was a lovely, kind and friendly person and we are so grateful to have had a chance to know her if only for a short time. Our deepest sympathies to all of her family.
