Linda Darlene Snavely, 67, left her home in Ashland, VA, on Monday, December 25, 2023, to begin her joyous eternal life in Heaven. She was born on October 19, 1956. Linda was a spitting image of her mother, and there was nothing she treasured more than time with her family. She was a fierce protector of those she loved.
Linda is survived by her five loving sons, Jerold Snavely, Jonathan Snavely (Jessie), Charles Snavely, David Snavely (Kelly), and Mark Snavely (Heather). She will also be remembered by her brothers, Bobby Anthony, Calvin Anthony, and Jimmy Anthony. Linda’s memory will live on through her cherished grandchildren, Heather Washington and Timothy Snavely, Samantha Batten, David, and Robbie Snavely; Olivia, Carter, and Trevor Snavely. Linda was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard and Ronnie Anthony; and her daughter-in-law, Ella Snavely.
Linda’s heart was too big for this world. No matter what she had, Linda gave selflessly to always make sure her boys were happy and safe. Linda leaves behind a legacy of life lessons that will be forever treasured by friends and family. These lessons came about through her desire to help others, her sense of compassion, the gift of telling stories, adventures in the kitchen blessing others with her homemade cooking and sharing her skills with those less talented, game nights, and a natural ability to always get a laugh. Linda will be tremendously missed, but those who love her find peace in knowing that her purpose in life has been fulfilled.
“As the rain and the snow come down from Heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth, making it bud & flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire & achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:10-11
