Linh Huu Nguyen

January 8, 1938 – September 19, 2022

Linh Huu Nguyen, 84, of Henrico, Virginia, born in Chau Doc An Giang, Vietnam, passed away on September 19, 2022.

Linh immigrated from Vietnam to the United States to live in Henrico, Virginia in November of 1994 with his spouse and four children.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Thuc Huu Nguyen and Lau Thi Pham; his loving spouse of 57 years, Phuong Mai Thi Hang; and sister, Ly Thi Nguyen.  Survivors include his children, Tuong Huu Nguyen, Tu Huu Nguyen (Thao), Phuong Tam Huynh (Sau), Phuong Tuyen Proto (Tony); eight grandchildren; and countless friends and other relatives.  Linh enjoyed spending time reading, visiting with family and friends, and worshipping at The Church of the Vietnamese Martyrs.

Visitation and a memorial prayer service will take place from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Parkway, Richmond, Virginia 23294.  The memorial prayer service officiated by Father Nghieu Nguyen of the Church of the Vietnamese Martyrs will begin at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A catholic funeral mass will be held at 9:00 a.m., Monday, September 26, 2022, at the Church of the Vietnamese Martyrs, 12486 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23238. Immediately following the mass, a prayer and interment will take place at Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23238.  All services are open to those who wish to attend.
