An independent woman who derived a great deal of pride from her work, Lucy worked 50+ hours a week until she was 80 years old. As a young mother, she served as president of Virginia PTA and regularly advocated on their behalf to the Virginia General Assembly. From there, she served as the public relations director at St. Luke’s Hospital (now Henrico Doctors’ Hospital – Parham), as executive assistant to the president of Fidelity Federal Bank, and finally, as manager of La-Z-Boy in Henrico. She led with grace, generosity, and devotion in all her endeavors and had a lasting impact on all who had the privilege to know her.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Pkwy., Richmond, VA 23294. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Westhampton Memorial Park.

Dear Pam, Charlie, Sharon, Deanna, Jennifer and all family; My heart is broken. I am so, so sorry that Lucy has passed. She was a special person to me. She was always so calm, sophisticated, distinguished and thoughtful. She gave me my first chance in the working world when she hired me at St. Lukes and taught me so much. We just were together on Monday the 7th and were making plans for her Birthday lunch. I will never, ever forget her sweet soul who meant so much to me. I know you are all heartbroken. My only solace is that she died peacefully and she is now reunited with Rodney. I send each of you a hug and a blessing. We all were so lucky to have her in our lives.
So sorry for your loss. She sounds like a Wonderful Strong Lady. Wish I could have gotten to know her. I am the granddaughter of Joe Graham, Charle’s brother.
Prayers For The Family
