Maddy Zuleima Lozada Parra

March 26, 1954 – September 21, 2021

LOZADA PARRA, Maddy Zuleima, 67, of North Chesterfield passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.

Maddy immigrated to Richmond in 2016 from Venezuela where she was born. Maddy loved traveling, dancing, and meeting people. During the last years of her life, she loved to spend time with her grandchild Sebastian. She dedicated her life to her son and her family.

Born in Venezuela on March 26, 1954, Maddy was the older of nine siblings which she took under her care after her mother’s passing when she was 20 years old. She was a devoted woman, willing to do anything for anybody at any time without asking for anything in exchange. Her love for her family went far and beyond, she was definitely the glue to the family. Maddy loved traveling, dancing, and meeting people. She dedicated her life to her son and her family. Around 3 years ago, she moved to the US to live with her son and daughter-in-law as they were waiting on the arrival of their son, Sebastian Lozada which very quickly became the new highlight of her life. She will be missed by everyone that knew her, especially her family.

Survivors include her son, Fernando Lozada and his wife Morgan Lozada, her siblings, Milagros (Mauro), Trinidad (Wolfgang), Carolina (Robert), Maria, Angel, Nubia, Alfredo (Carolina), her grandson, Sebastian Alexander Lozada, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Mercedes, Minerva and Nelson

A Catholic Mass will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at St. Michael Catholic Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at Mount Vernon Memorial Park in Glen Allen following the service.  Memorials may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church.
