Maggie Ann Spencer

September 14, 1953 – August 19, 2021

Maggie Ann Spencer, 67, of Chesterfield passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at St. Francis Medical Center.

Maggie was born in Richmond on September 20, 1953, and lived in the Richmond/Chesterfield area her entire life. She married her husband of 52 years at the age of 16.

Survivors include her loving husband, Melvin L. Spencer; her pet cat that she absolutely adored, Sweetie; her daughter, Margaret Moore and husband Jason Moore; cousin Carolyn Cromer (Lewis); sisters-in-law, Nellie Payne, Edna Lloyd (Mike); her nephews and nieces loved their Aunt Peggy as they called her, Michael Spencer (Melanie Jennings), Curtis Spencer Sr. (Amy), Donald Spencer (Karen), John Spencer/Anna Spencer, Ann Davis (William), Ashworth Payne, Jr (Lisa Myers), Cabell Payne. Not to exclude several dozen great and great-great nieces and nephews. She had a herd of grandchildren, Ana Bravo (24), Romualdo Bravo (19), Joshua Rivera (16), Hailie Rivera (13), Claudia Amado-Rita (12), Karina Delgado (9) and Bella Delgado (9).

Maggie never went where she didn’t light up a room, make friends and share her love for Jesus Crist.  She always said that God took her every step and every situation to use her as a Disciple for his ministries.  Maggie served her community at Courthouse Senior Apartments as the weekly Bible Study teacher and leaves behind many many friends and neighbors that truly adore her and will greatly miss her.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31 at Affinity Funeral Service – Richmond Chapel.  A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private. Click here to view the live-streamed service for Maggie Ann Spencer.

    She truly was a child of God. She has left a big void in many lives as well as much love .Some people live on in the lives of those they touched. This is our maggie
