Delaine was one of the nicest, kindness and giving person I have known. She was a great teacher and her students loved her. She will be greatly missed.
Ms. Arbogast was my teacher at Lakeside Elementary during the 70’s era. She was strict but fair, a wonderful teacher and I loved being her student. She will be missed.
Delaine and I were very good friends in elementary and high school. We walked to the drug store together almost every day during our summer breaks. While we were separate by time and distance, I always considered her a friend. She, and her entire entire family, are wonderful people.
Thought and prayers to her family. It’s sad to lose a good person, but so happy to have known and loved her.
Delaine taught both of our boys in the fourth grade at Lakeside in the early 80’s. What a fantastic teacher who had a true calling to work with children. Those children who had her as their teacher, were truly blessed. She was definitely a positive influence on our boys.
What a smile and sparkling personality! I was a PTA president at Lakeside in the 80s. She was fun to work with on projects, always laughing. She was a wonderful teacher to hundreds of Lakeside students.
What wonderful memories of our high school years at Hermitage High School and growing up in Lakeside. Delaine’s beautiful spirit and love of others will always be remembered. MayGod bless her soul.🙏🏻
My Dear Delaine…. It was an honor to walk with you through the last (almost) 2 years! I will miss your kind and fun disposition and most certainly our “gossip” sessions every week. Ian, thank you for trusting my team and me with your sweet Aunt. Lots of love during this time and always.
The members of Henrico Retired School Personnel Association extend their condolences to the family of Delaine Arbogast and our appreciation for her many years of service to students and staff and her membership in HRSPA.
Miss Arbogast was my second grade teacher at Lakeside Elementary in the mid 1960s. I am grateful for the warmth and kindness that she showed all her students. She gave scores of children a great start and instilled a lifelong love of learning – what a wonderful legacy. I am sad to hear of her passing.
Delaine was such a wonderful person. I met her years ago when I was planning my wedding, and shortly after that I joined her monthly “stamp club” where we made cards together with a group of ladies at her house. She was so welcoming and kind and always very sweet. I enjoyed the times we spent together and I will never forget her lovely personality.
