
Margaret Parker Reed
October 23, 1931 – July 19, 2022
Margaret Parker Reed, 90, of Richmond VA., passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
She was born in Caroline County, Va., to the late Robert and Ada Parker. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 36 years, James W. Reed; sister, Myrtle Johnson; sister, Blanche Blackburn: brother, Robert Lewis “Bill” Parker, and brother, Edwin Roger Parker Sr.
Margaret, also known as Boogie, Momma, and Granny was loved by all. She enjoyed working with flowers and worked at Flower Fashions and Designs By Ron. She also worked at Caroline Progress. She enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with her girls, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Clara M. Reed, and Pamela R. Perkins (David); grandchildren, Ashlee N. Spruill (Craig), Daniel J. Perkins (Devon); and great-grandchildren, Raegan E. Spruill, Rylee F. Spruill, and Alice W. Perkins; Cousin, Lois S. Taylor, and numerous nieces and nephews and her granddog Mickey.
A memorial service will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12 at Affinity Funeral Services, 8074 Mechanicsville Turnpike, Mechanicsville, VA 23111.

Clara Pam you have my deepest sympathy your mother was the sweetest person she can work that flowers and she was such a wonderful lady my mother loved her to death you guys have very good memories of her and I have a few memories of her also stay strong and know that God has you in his loving arms maybe one day we’ll get to see each other and reminisce of old times love you Clara and Pam.
I loved spending time with you @ the store. Beautiful lady.

Clara, I’m so sorry for your loss. I never had the opportunity to meet your mom, but knowing you, I can only believe she was truly a beautiful person and will be missed. Sending prayers of comfort ❤️.
Mom as i always called her since i first met her was the sweetest and one of the most caring and loving person you will ever know. She was and is an Angel. Mom is and will be missed more than words can ever express. Love, Blessings,and Peace to my great and dear friend Clara,and to Pam.
