Marvin Elmo Wilcher, Jr., 76, residing in Ashland, Virginia, passed peacefully on December 28, 2022.
Marvin was born in Lynchburg, Virginia. He was a master welder, expert sheet metal fabricator, devoted and loving husband, and supportive father. He married Aleta in 1990 and lived a full life seeing all his children grow, mature, and succeed. He enjoyed the relaxation of retirement and relished the sunny days with his loving wife at the river in King George, VA.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and brother. He is survived by his wife, Aleta, of Ashland, Virginia; his daughter, Tina Wilcher, of Dallas, Texas; his son, David Wilcher, of Sandston, Virginia; his daughter, Michelle (Kevin) Halpin of Fredericksburg, Virginia; his son, Brian Verburg of Chesterfield, Virginia; his sisters, Carolyn (Raymond) Thacker of Covington, Virginia; Gayle (Mickey) Ryan and Nita (Ricky) Valiente of Madison Heights, Virginia; and by great-grandchildren, grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service is planned for immediate family and friends on January 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.
