Michael Phillips Sr.
September 6, 1965 – November 10, 2023
Michael Andrew Phillips Sr. gained his wings at the age of 58 at his home on Friday, November 10, 2023.
Michael, also well known as Mike, was born on the 6th day of September 1965 in the state of Arizona. Mike was a very skilled carpenter for the majority of his life. He was also an avid sports player in his younger life. Michael was the third of six children. He was preceded in death by his father, Marshall Phillips Sr.and is survived by his mother, Bertha Phillips.
Michael married Winnifred Phillips his wife of 34 years on January 6, 1989. He leaves behind his three children, Michael Andrew Phillips Jr., Kaitlynn Nicole Gordon, and Christopher Austin Phillips. Michael also leaves behind his pride and joys Kylee, David, Ariel, and Easton as well as many brothers, sisters, and friends.
Aside from his love for the Hokies and other sports teams and work his favorite thing in the world was his grandkids! Mike was a family man who loved to fish not catch!
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, November 16, 2023, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23294. The interment will be private.
