Mike was a tremendous individual, a dedicated family man, and a very successful hard working business man. I will miss his great wit, poem writing and banter about the Detroit Lions vs the Chicago Bears and Detroit Red Wings vs the Chicago Blackhawks. He wanted the best for everyone he interacted with and was truly a great friend. He will be missed on so many levels. Eternal rest grant unto Mike O’ lord and let the perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen

Mike was truly a blessing to all he had contact with!! ❤️❤️❤️
I had the honor of calling Mike my friend for over 25 years now. He was like a brother to me, supportive, willing to share advice and of course more than happy to have a laugh at my expense when the moment called for it. We worked together for 10 years and I can say that was the most fun I had ever had working. There was never a dull moment. He stood up at my wedding, congratulated me when my son was born and shared his support when my father passed away. You’re a great friend and like a brother to me Mike, you will always be remembered.
Mike brightened up so many peoples days – I have no doubt he is now going to be the brightest angel in the sky. Blessings to you and your family at this difficult time. God’s grace for each of you. Diana Devlin
What can I say. I worked with Mike for years and when a better opportunity came for you, you took it. Haven’t heard from you for a long time and when I heard of your passing I was shocked. Besides being my granddaughter s godfather you were also a true friend. Got to know you and your family and my prayers are with you always. Rest in peace Mike
Tuesday morning, Mike and I rode up the elevator together coming to work. He said to me, “have a great day Sir”. He was a great man. Often talked about his sons and their Robotics interests. At work he was always quick to respond and did a great job. His office was next to mine and I could hear the snap of the Mt Dew can open. Unfortunately, life is fragile. This man was was too young to pass so suddenly. We will miss Mike dearly. Time will heal, but he will never be forgotten. RIP my friend, rest in peace.
Mike was an amazing man! He was a great friend. He was very proud of his family and we would often swap family stories. I was blessed to have the relationship that we had. He will be missed but never forgotten. God bless him and his family!
Mike was such a wonderful man, we were all blessed to have known him and to have shared many laughs together. Our Lion/Packer banter was endless in football season, his quick wit will be missed. He was so thoughtful, always sincere with his concern for others, I’ll never forget his love for animals, truly a man with a heart of gold. My thoughts and prayers are with the Berry family, may the Lord meet him at the gates.
Mike is smiling from above this evening, as his Lion’s won today. I consider Mike not only a great business partner over the years, but more importantly a great friend. I already miss our business calls, but more so our non-work texts or calls about the true important things in life, family & friendship. He touched so many lives in a positive way with this bigger than life personality and wit.
Thoughts and prayers to the entire Berry family, love ya brother.
Words cannot express my deepest sorrow for the loss of Michael. A good, honest man who brought a high level of professionalism to his job and to his life. He will be missed by so many.
May Mike find everlasting peace. His kindness, humor and knowledge touched so many at PFG as well as the vendor community. Mike’s family are in my thoughts as they navigate through this challenging period.
Mike was such a positive, helpful person. He truly had a servant’s heart. He will be missed, but never forgotten.
Mike was a trusted colleague and was always interested in how my family was doing. We had great conversations about the different bands and concerts we had seen in the past. He always was fair and honest as a business person and was so easy to talk to. He will be missed by so many. Our prayers are with his family at this tough time
My heart aches for Mike’s family; He will be deeply missed. I have always appreciated Mike’s work ethic and contribution to Performance Food Service. He loved his job and he was very good at it. Mike was a history buff and we would often talk around historical topics. He was warm and kind and will be deeply missed. My prayer for the family is that God would would pour out His grace and mercy upon you and comfort you over the days ahead.
Mike’s passion and joy was contagious. His joy and passion were most evident in the stories he would share about his family. I was fortunate to have Mike as a colleague and friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this difficult time.
I am so sorry to the family for your loss. I work at PFG in MN, and while I didn’t know Mike well, he was always so helpful when we needed help in our office. I wanted to share my last interaction with Mike. We were at FoodCentric in Dallas and we were waiting in line to get our cookbooks signed by the key note speaker, Eric Greenspan. He explained that his wife and daughter were super excited. I think he said “fan-girling” ?, so Mike was getting books signed for them. He was reluctant to get his picture taken with Eric, but I insisted. So glad I did. Hopefully he sent it to you all. ❤️
Mike was a great man. He always had a smile and a kind word, he made everyone he came in contact with feel special. The world was a brighter place with him in it and I am so happy to have had the chance to know him. My deepest condolences to the Berry family.
Mike was indeed a great person with a large heart and truly a testament on how to merge business and personal relationships and make it all work within our industry – Enjoyed the times to break bread and discuss life and family and will be definitely missed – May his memories and kind soul be a beacon of light on the many new journeys that the entire Berry and PFG families will experience. GOD BLESS
My thoughts and Prayers to The Berry Family. I have known Mike for few years as a vendor to PFS. Mike was a tough negotiator but fair. I got to know more about his music likes and dislikes. Like me he loved 70’s rock music. He could name the song, the band and knew the lyrics of of iconic rock songs.
I enjoyed our business and family discussions. Rest in Peace Mike Berry, Your work on Earth is Done.

I am so grateful to have been counted as one of Mike’s friends. Mike was a true light in this world and a loving and caring friend who always thought of others first. I will miss his wit and humor, but i will miss his goofy smile the most. I am a better person for knowing you Godson.
Mike epitomized passion and enthusiasm. He was a standup guy and never at loss for showering his praise, appreciation, and compliments on his colleagues and friends. I had the pleasure of working closely with Mike over the past nine and half years. I especially enjoyed his knowledge and love affair of music — mainly 70s rock and will miss his ideas for our music and themes of our popular COP Summits. Heaven welcomes a gregarious gentleman full of stories, wit, and humor. Memories of Mike forever etched into my mind. Farewell my friend and colleague. God bless his beautiful family.
My thoughts and prayers to the Berry Family. May his memories live on forever in your hearts!
Mike was a very special person. He was so easy and fun to work with and appreciated everything that everyone did. I will truly miss working with him, and especially working with him on the weekly COP calls and the COP Summits. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. He will truly be missed.
Mike was a wonderful friend and colleague for many years, but mostly a friend with unyielding wit and compassion for others. His honesty and integrity go without saying. I will miss the many hours of banter back and forth about our industry and life in general. Many people come into your life, many people leave your life, but people like Mike are rare and will stay in my heart forever. Rest in peace my friend Mike.
Mike’s friendly presence and smile will be missed greatly in our office. He was such a nice person. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Mike was such an easy person to be friends with. We laughed, shared endless jokes, music and Star Wars, but most of all stayed connected – which many don’t do today. I will miss our chats and texts my friend. One thing is certain, I know the angels will induct you into the band Sir, so please Rock On and rest well in peace.
May God bless and wrap his love around your family.
Heaven certainly gained an Angel last Tuesday. I am pleased to have had the pleasure to work with Mike for the past two years. I certainly wish it had been longer. He was such a great colleague, and someone I was happy to call a friend. I will always remember his witty comments regarding the great pork vs. chicken debate! I will miss his friendly presence and energy in the office and will certainly miss working with him on the annual COP summit. He was always so quick to tell you how much he appreciated you as a person, and for the work done to support him as a Category Manager. My prayers are with the Berry family, and all of Mike’s friends, as we continue to comprehend this sudden loss. Gone but certainly not forgotten!
Mike, I will miss our conversations in your office over mountain dew. You were a good friend and colleague. I am honored to have worked with you. Rest in internal piece my friend.

Mike Loved Bacon and his Mtn Dew, but more than that he Loved his family. I will always admire Mike’s love for his family and his passion for what he did. Every conversation regardless if about bacon, or hot sauces would end in a story about his wife and large family gatherings. He was a cheerleader when you needed one, and a friend that showed care and compassion. You’ve left a big void here Mike, we will never forget you.
Mike often would send me Instant Messages through Facebook. In our last IM conversation just this past October Mike had me in stitches laughing– as per usual. I had moaned and groaned a little on Facebook one night about a 4+ hour work dinner I had while in Richmond. Upon reading my post, Mike could NOT resist the urge to take it upon himself to write a “theme song” for me to the tune of Gilligan’s Island all about “a four-hour dinner.” It was PERFECT! The next morning, I specifically went by his office before I flew back home to Orlando, to speak with Mike and thank him for the song and the laugh. During that conversation he got very serious with me and ended up telling me how much he enjoyed seeing my Facebook posts and stories about my mother and father; his words were “…your stories about June and Jimmy are so funny and wholesome, I wish my Dad were still alive so I could post funny stories about him.” Mike… I will keep posting those stories in their honor and in your memory– I wish you were still here to read them and appreciate them, as long as I am able to keep writing them. I cannot believe you are gone, and life is never going to be the same without you. I will miss all of your laughter and happiness. Stay Forever Laughing!
Mike was such an amazing person.
He always had this kind, welcoming smile on his face, that lit up the room. He was such a great husband to my cousin , and im so happy she got to experience that kind of love. Mike will truly be missed by all of our family. I will miss seeing him at our family reunions, enjoying all the Mexican food. And will definitely miss his funny comments on Facebook.
Sending all my love.
Mike was a pleasure to work with. Always eager to talk shop about an event we were working, while sliding in a dry joke, or to debate the ups and downs of his Lions or my Giants. He’s a big part of how I identify my day at West Creek and I’ll miss not having him around. My condolences to his family and friends who were lucky enough to have known him better than I.
My deepest sympathy and condolences to the Berry family.
Mike will be missed by many and remembered for the good person that he was. RIP!

Mike was a great guy and will be dearly missed by everyone that knew him. I worked with Mike for a long time, and he was always easy to get along with and pleasant to talk to about work and life matters. I will miss not just his vast knowledge base about our industry and all the people within it, but the small conversations that make the day go by and make life a little brighter. He was a good man and will be remembered fondly.
Family First…Every conversation Mike and I had started with our lives and our families. Although we have accomplished many great things at Performance with Mike’s help and his dedication to his job, we shared many a great moment together discussing all manner of topics. From Pro Wrestling to rock and roll, and everthing in between, Mike was an all-around great guy. Rest In Peace our dear friend and we send prayers to the entire Berry family.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family, Mike. I met him in 1990 while we were both working in a grocery store in Michigan. He was a true and loyal friend who would do anything for you. I ran into him years later (when his first child was about a year old) and he showed me so many pictures- he was so proud and excited. I don’t know anyone who loved their family more than he did. Fly free, Michael Berry. I know you’re up there driving your Cav and drinking Mt Dew. See you on the other side.
What a great guy, he will truly be missed! I always enjoyed working with Mike and how he managed to bring the Red Wings into every conversation. That chocolate covered; raspberry flavored octopus just won’t be the same. Condolences to the Berry family, keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.
Nephew Mike I just found out and Ronnie must really need your help up in Heaven!! No words could ever describe how much I love you. Go Rest High On That Mountain for your work here is done! RIP and I’ll be up there with all of you soon! I love you!
