Mike was an EXCELLENT SUPERINTENDENT and FRIEND. In his nearly 30 years with WT I never worried about his projects. From his first one a Maxwell Graphics to the Signet Data Center to work that he and Maynard performed for Cap One Broad Street which led to the Cap One Campus Mike was always in charge and delivered the work on schedule. His unique way of communicating with Subs,PEs,PMs,and even me was always to the point and entertaining. As a Golf Buddy he was fun to play with and I was always amazed at how he could be an 8 handicap at the Highlands with that CRAZY SWING.He coached me as I made a Hole in One while playing with him and stated that I owed him HALF of the car that I won.Over these last difficult years I enjoyed lunch with him, Becky, and Maynard.I will sincerely miss him.GOD BLESS and Rest in Peace OLD FRIEND.
Sorry to hear this about Mike. His family lived upstairs from us when we were young. Mike was a good guy. Prayers to the family.

I am Mike’s niece from Banner Elk, NC. I would like to speak with you regarding Uncle Mike.
I remember all the good times we had with Roger B Mitchell , Al Moody , John Crumpled. So many good times along with sad ones as well. You fly high my friend. We will meet again. And , oh my . What stories we will share.
I grew up with Mike. We shared laughs and tears. I remember when he lived on Robinson ave with his grandparents pop and Cindy. We kind of went separate ways in the 80’s. I’ve tried to keep,in,touch but didn’t have much luck. When I heard of his passing I was absolutely shocked. So , my dear friend you rest in peace. This tragic event has made me more determined to try and find my old friends to talk about the good times. I will never go get you !!!!
Rest peacefully Uncle Mike.
