Obituary message
HARRIS, Phillip Dorn, 70, of South Chesterfield, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Linda Harris; and niece, Tricia Whitaker White. He is survived by his son, Erick Harris; sister, Brenda Allen (Dud); brother, Carlton Harris; great niece, Kristin Wray (Tripp), and their daughter, Lainey Wray. Phillip was a Navy yeoman on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt serving during the Vietnam War. He was assigned to the Operations Department and maintained the pilot’s log books, the squadron master logs, as well as the flight time logs. He was a master carpenter and woodworker, leaving many projects to his legacy. Phillip was also known as Julius Zwickel to many of his friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and easy smile. Phillip was a gifted man. His many talents included drawing, writing poetry, and timeless words of wisdom. He loved to work around the yard, plant flowers, and make unique re-purposed items to put in his Nature, Fun Park. Phillip will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by many of his family, friends, and neighbors. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
R.I.P Phillip, you were one crazy man. You will be missed, but not forgotten.
