
Phuong Mai Hang
March 14, 1939 – February 11, 2021
Phuong Mai Hang, 81, of Henrico, Virginia, born in Nha Trang, Vietnam, passed away peacefully while surrounded by loving family members on February 11, 2021.
Phuong Mai immigrated from Vietnam to the United States to live in Henrico, Virginia in November of 1994 with her spouse and four children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phong Hang and May Thi Tran and brother, Nguyen Hang. Survivors include her loving spouse of 57 years, Linh Huu Nguyen; brother, Bong Hang; children, Tuong Huu Nguyen, Tu Huu Nguyen (Thao), Phuong Tam Huynh (Sau), Phuong Tuyen Proto (Tony); eight grandchildren and countless friends and other relatives. Phuong Mai enjoyed spending time sewing, cooking and worshipping at The Church of the Vietnamese Martyrs.
An open walk through visitation will take place from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m., Monday, February 22, 2021 at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Parkway, Richmond, Virginia 23294. At 7 p.m., immediately following the open visitation, a memorial prayer service officiated by Father Nguyen of the Church of the Vietnamese Martyrs will take place at the funeral home chapel.
A catholic funeral mass will take place from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at the Church of the Vietnamese Martyrs, 12486 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23238.
Immediately following the mass, at 10:00 a.m., a prayer and interment will take place at Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23238. All services are open to those who wish to attend and observe COVID-19 safety precautions.
