Ralph “Booger” Ayers Jr.

November 4, 1963 – June 21, 2024

Ralph Ayers, affectionately known as “Booger,” age 60, from Richmond, passed away unexpectedly on June 21, 2024, during a routine heart procedure at Chippenham Hospital.

He is survived by his children Kenneth Johnson (Michelle), Bryan Conner, Barbara Lynne Brown (Clay) and Amber Trievel (Kevin); grandchildren Andrew Franklin Jr., Katrina Gray, Hunter Johnson, Devin Trievel, Destiny Trievel, Logan Conner, and Ray Conner; sister Hope Flynn Bunn (Brian); brothers, Karl Ayers (Chasity), Chuck McKracken (Linda); and numerous beloved friends, nieces and nephews. Ralph was preceded in death by his mother, Etta Ayers; father, Ralph Ayers Sr.; sisters Debby Smith and Charlotte Beadles; and daughter Katie Ayers.

Booger was known for his willingness to help friends and family, always ready to lend a hand at a moment’s notice. Whether it was fixing a car, tackling home repairs, or simply being there for someone in need, he would drop everything and spring into action without hesitation. Booger loved to fish, the only time you would catch him standing still.

Beyond fixing cars and love for fishing, Booger’s commitment to his loved ones was evident in every aspect of his life. His dependable nature and generous spirit touched the lives of many, leaving a legacy of selflessness and kindness that will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A viewing will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Affinity Funeral Service, 8074 Mechanicsville Tnpk, Mechanicsville, VA. Following the service, the family invites friends to gather at the VFW located at 1501 E. Old Williamsburg Rd, Sandston, VA 23150, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
