Randolph L. Moore Jr.

March 31, 1975 – March 3, 2021

Randolph Lee Moore, Jr., known by most as simply Junior, died unexpectedly at his home in Sandston March 3, 2021.    He was 45 years old.

Junior was born in Richmond, VA on March 31, 1975 and is survived by his parents, Randolph L.  Moore, Sr. “Pop”, Sharon G. Moore “Mom”, and Karen K. Moore “Ma”; his sisters, Jennifer Moore (Troy), DeeDee Gregory (Barnard) and Candice Kennedy (Robert).  He is also survived by his “babies” which he loved dearly, Miranda I. Moore, Randolph L. Moore, III (Tre’) and Leah “Meadow” Wiggins along with their mom, Tami Thomas Moore.   He was a proud uncle to his many nieces and nephews as well as a special nephew to his “Auntie” Melissa A. DeLue and will hold a special place in their hearts for years to come.

While Junior kept mostly to himself, he was a generous, kind and giving soul who would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it more.  Junior had a love for many things, cars, music, flowers, his fish and his furry buddy Bentley.  He would never pass up on some of Tre’-Tre’s spaghetti and loved a good meal.  But most of all, Junior just loved to “chill” with those closest to him.  His occasional visits to the “Tattoo” man would never come as a surprise, his body was a multi-colored canvas of meaningful art and was a reflection of what life meant to him.  Taken from us way too soon, he will be sadly missed and remain a part of each and every one of us for years to come.

A funeral service following the COVID-19 Guidelines set forth by the State of Virginia will be held at Affinity Funeral Service – Richmond Chapel, 2720 Enterprise Parkway, Richmond Virginia 23294 on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.  Family and friends are welcome.

My world will never be the same without you. I have loved you from the day you were born. You are and always will be my baby brother. They say a new dawn brings a new day but it’ll be a day without you and that is truly the hardest part. My heart is hurting, however; I am at peace knowing you’re no longer in pain. You will be with me for rest of my life and when it’s my time-I know you’ll be there waiting. I love you Jr.

Junior – A Very Special Nephew – Love You Always, Auntie
The day you left and gained your wings, my heart just broke in two.
I wish you could have stayed here with us, but Heaven needed you.
You left me with the memories, and I love you dearly still.
No matter how much time goes by, you know I always will.
You were a very special person, with kindness in your heart.
The love we had as family still grows even though now we are apart.
I know I cannot bring you back, although I wish it every day.
But a piece of me went with you, the day you went away…Fly High Jr. I love you!
