Richard Gerard Houston, 52, of Glen Allen passed away May 23, 2021.
Survivors include his loving and devoted mother and father, Wilnette and Donald Houston; two devoted sisters, Candace Mooney (Keith) and Katrina Butler (Linwood); devoted brother, Michael Sampson; two devoted aunts, Cynthia Fisher and DeLora Houston; a devoted cousin, Dana Haden; and numerous other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, May 27 at Affinity Funeral Service – Richmond Chapel, 2720 Enterprise Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23294. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday, May 28th at the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow in Roselawn Memory Gardens.

Although today is difficult and it is hard to see beyond the anguish you feel, looking back on the wonderful memories that you shared with Richard will bring some peace and comfort. I am so sorry to read about Richard’s passing. I so enjoyed knowing him and working with you, Mrs. Houston. He always made me smile and he brought smiles and joy to all those around him. May he Rest In Peace and I pray that God holds you all close during this difficult time.
