Rickie C. Averette, 65, of North Chesterfield went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 29, 2018. Mr. Averette is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Bessie Averette; and brother Bruce Averette. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda K. Averette; children Jennifer Averette, Terry Groves, Lisa Boatwright (Andie), Lori Woolridge, and Bobby Groves (Sheila); son-in-law Michael; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister Joyce Davis; brother Jimmy Averette; and a host of extended family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. A funeral service will be held at 3pm Friday, January 11th at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23294. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

RIP Rickie. Thoughts and prayers are with the family. The past several years have not been easy for you and Linda with all the health problems but you made the best of it. Now you can rest in peace no longer in pain. Wish I could be there but you and Linda and family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

PopPop thank you for always being there for me my whole life, and being an amazing father to me and Terry and amazing grandfather to our kids.Thank you for loving momma like you always did and being the husband you were and what she needed. RIP Rickie, you fought a hard fight. So sorry for the whole family. May GOD give each one of you peace in knowing that Rickie is out of pain and sickness and with his loving GOD.
I am so sorry to hear of the families loss. I met Mr. Averette at Sheila and Bobby’s wedding. Both himself and Mrs. Averette were such a joy to speak with. You were so happy to see Bobby marry his soulmate. You and the family are in my thoughts and prayers. I prayed for God to wrap his arms around you at this time.
