Obituary message

STROUD, Robert Allen, of Highland Springs, Virginia, passed on to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Robert was born to parents Charles and Mary on August 7, 1944 in Richmond, Virginia. He is survived by his loving brother, William Cheever, of New Bern, North Carolina.

Robert served in the Navy and loved America and American history. He was a devoted patriot who honored our country’s founding fathers, presidents, and the history of our democracy. His other interests were coin and stamp collecting and he loved old movies and cartoons.

Robert had great faith in the Lord. He was devoted to his church and friends and will be greatly missed. He was a kind and gentle soul and all who knew him loved him for his sweet spirit.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, November 17, 2:00 p.m. at Living Hope Church, 301 W Nine Mile Rd., Highland Springs, Virginia.
