ULMER, Robert C. Jr., 78, of Ashland passed away Monday, October 28, 2019. Bob was born and raised in New Jersey. He served in the US Navy and retired from Ford Motor Company after 40+ years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Marianne; son, Thomas Ulmer; daughter, Michelle Russo; five grandchildren, Trey Russo, Sarah Ulmer, James Ulmer, Kerri Allison and Michael Helman; two great-grandchildren, Jayden and Stevie; three sisters, Linda, Judy and Patty; and brother Oliver. He was preceded in death by his son, William Ulmer; and brother Dennis. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2pm with a memorial service to follow at 2pm Saturday, November 9 at Affinity Funeral Service Richmond Chapel, 2720 Enterprise Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23294.
