Robert “Bobby” Elliott Kee
October 2, 1939 – October 14, 2019
KEE, Robert (Bobby) Elliott, 80, passed away on October 14, 2019. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Maggie Kee. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joan Hyatt Kee; his children, Robyne Muminovic (Enis), Terri Stephenson (Doug), Sandy Thompson (Rod), Mickey Ross (Pat), Tracey Kee, Christy Rodden (Chuck), and Rusty Kee (Renee); eight grandchildren, Bridget Bazzle (Travis), Chelsey Robinson, Sarah Ross, Kayla Robison, Abagail Ross, Rachel Stephenson, Dillon Kee, and Alexis Kee; and a very dear friend of over 50 years, Tommy Burruss. Bobby was a charter member of the Virginia Street Rod Association for over 50 years. His love for cars was unmeasurable. Bobby’s professional career was driven in route sales. He was employed with Frito Lay for many years, and later retired from Costco wholesale. After retirement, his love for cars only grew even more. He spent a lot of his spare time traveling with his beach buddies; Sonny Tunstall, Tom Smith, & Barry George, they traveled to many car shows, dinners, vacations, etc. If there was a car show around these four buddies were always there together. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 pm Thursday, October 17 at Affinity Funeral Service Richmond Chapel, 2720 Enterprise Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23294. A funeral service will be held at Noon Friday, October 18 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pam and I would like to express our condolences to Joan and family in the passing of Robert (Bobby) Kee. Bobby was a long-time and faithful member of the Virginia Street Rods, Inc., as well as, the National Street Rod Association. Since the first Colonial Williamsburg Rod Run in 1973, Bobby had a 47-year perfect attendance record of attending all of the Colonial Williamsburg Rod Runs. Due to Bobby’s long-term commitment to his car hobby his many street rod friends will miss Bobby and his smile and good nature.
