Robert Micheli Griffin
May 25, 1964 – February 17, 2023
Robert Micheli Griffin, 58, from Caroline County passed away peacefully in his home after a very quick battle with Colon Cancer surrounded by his loving wife and his most prized possessions; his music equipment that he loved so much.
Robert had a very tough childhood as a Foster Kid. He was very fortunate to be taken in by a loving family the Delongs’ in New York City to which he kept in contact with throughout his life. His life truly began when he met his wife Marlene Griffin at working at a grocery store called Pathmark in New York. She became his whole life and when she had his daughter Melissa Griffin, he made sure she had the life he never had due to the circumstances he was raised on.
Robert enjoyed music. He had a large musical collection and even conducted music himself using mainly pianos and his second love of his life, his red Epiphone guitar. These are possessions he will pass to his Grandchildren Cayden Heidenescher, Alaric Heidenescher, and Jordan Stearns. Along with music, Robert was a Sports Fanatic. He loved Tennis, basketball, baseball, and football.
The family has Robert’s service as a TBD date and will be a private matter. The family would like to thank everyone who was involved during this tough time.
All donations may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital, as that foundation was ways his passion.
Rest In Peace, Robert. It was my privilege to share a portion of your life with you. When i look back to those days i se a scared young man but also one with a determination to move forward through this world. I always admired your courage and strength. May you rest with the rock stars that you loved and those that we listened to together.
Thank you so much Greg for your kind words. Thank you so so much for everything you did for him!
Our deepest sympathies to you and your family, may god give you the comfort and peace you seek and may the soul of your loved one forever rest in peace.
Thank you so much Evelyn! No more pain…just peace.
Rest in peace Robert! I didn’t know Robert that well but I’ve been friends with his beautiful wife Marlene and her dedication to her family! My husband got Robert a job in the bread Buisness at a time! His dedication to his family was well noticed as he was a hard worker and worked a couple jobs to provide for his family! May you still look after your beautiful wife and daughter and your 3, beautiful grandchildren!
Thank you Sherri!
Dad.
You were nothing but the best Father I could ask for. You always delivered every piece of a promise you didn’t even need to make known. You gave me the life that you never had in the most respectful way because you came from darkness and made sure I had nothing but the light. We will never forget you and miss you every single day.
P.S. I know that Blue Jay is you <3
