Rosa E. Roberts
September 20, 1932-July 3, 2022
Rosa E. Roberts, 89, of Richmond, departed this world for Heaven on July 3, 2022.
Rosa retired from UPS (formerly Overnite Transportation) at the age of 65. She enjoyed seeing new places and took many trips with her family, friends, and church. She was a long time member of New Bridge Baptist Church where she always felt loved and welcomed. Her church family, the friendships she made, and the love she had for the Lord gave her strength and carried her through many trials she faced in her life. Rosa was an amazing mother and dedicated friend. She loved surrounding herself with family and friends, and felt truly blessed by both. Rosa could lift your spirits with a heartfelt call or a thoughtful card. Her friendship and love were genuine and sincere.
She enjoyed music, socializing, and always (without fail) love to laugh and cut-up with those around her. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lillian Eason, siblings, J. Edward Eason, Dorothy E. Barnes (GW), Jean E. Brantley (Ray), W. Randolph Eason (Dorothy), and Margie E. Crumpler. She was also preceded in death by her son, Stephen A. Roberts. Rosa is survived by her daughter Sheila L. Vest and her husband Kevin, grandsons, Holden Z. Vest, Donovan C. Vest and his wife Jean, and great grandson, Malachi R. Vest. As well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
A “Celebration of Life” Service will be held at her daughter and son–n-law’s home in September. Details to be announced at a later date.
Aunt Rosa will be missed dearly. Everyone loved her. She never had an unkind word about anyone. That’s something I will always remember about her.
i always enjoyed seeing g her smiling face. She always had a kind word to say and the love she felt for her family and her Lord was unwavering. She made me smile every time I saw her!
Rosa was such a genuinely nice person. We loved that she had a ready smile and always seemed so cheerful. New Bridge church members will miss her presence.
I loved Rosa so much. She always came to our ladies LIFT events and she was always so supportive of our team. She was always smiling and ready to speak to you. She always talked about how proud she was of her talented daughter and her family. We got to hear a fantastic concert from the four of them. It was a blessing and she was so proud. She will be forever in my heart!
Rosa was a special person; always smiling. She was very outgoing and friendly to all. Rose will be greatly missed at New Bridge.
Rosa was a very special lady, so much fun to be around, and showing that sweet smile of hers. She was such a good example of a Christian life. I was happy that she had a place in my life as well as Sheila, Kevin and family. My prayers are with them.
