Rose Arduini
July 5, 1929 – June 16, 2023.
Rose Arduini, 93, departed her loved ones on June 16, 2023. She is now with her devoted husband of 62 years, Tony Arduini. Rose is survived by her four children, Patti Owings, Toni Hoover (Vin), Michael Arduini (Kim), Bobbi Dow (Jim); nine grandchildren, Katty Hoover, Allison Hutton, Bram Hoover, Kellen Owings, Brennan Owings, Alissa Matthias, Brie Arduini, Dylan Dow, and Caitlin Dow; five great-granddaughters, Mackenzie, Dawson, and Parker Hutton, Bowie Sharp, Emma Hoover; and sister Emily Bright.
Rose received a Bachelor’s degree from Wilson Teachers College and a Master’s degree from George Washington University. She was an elementary school teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools for over 25 years. In her retirement, she continued to work with students as a tutor. She was a longtime member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and their Young at Heart and Village Varsity groups. She was a member of the National Education Association and Delta Kappa Gamma national honor society. Rose was an avid reader, follower of current news events, and bridge player. She loved spending time with her family and will be sorely missed.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church (4491 Springfield Rd. Glen Allen, VA, 23060) from 10 to 11 am, with a funeral mass beginning at 11 am and a reception to follow.
