Roual “Rod” Beresford Mason

Roual “Rod” Beresford Mason, of Richmond Virginia passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
Roual was born October 2, 1965, in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up in Copiague, Long Island, and graduated with a master’s degree in Philosophy from Temple University. He was an Adjunct Professor of Philosophy at Rutgers University and more recently at Brightpoint Community College.
Roual’s favorite pastimes were watching sports and having lively philosophical discussions about everything from politics to the weather.
He was preceded in death by his father, Winston and mother Louise. He is survived by his brother, Ralph (Clara); sister Tanya (Dan); aunt Elnora; and beloved cousins Lisa and Jonice (Anthony); nieces Hannah and Jasmine; nephew Jamal; as well as a host of other cousins.
He will be sorely missed.
