The loss of a father is life changing, but knowing they are no longer sick or in pain is a blessing. Your family is in my prayers
Condolences Suzy to you and your family. I know how much your Dad meant to you. I will continue to pray for you all as you grieve this loss. If you need anything I’m just a phone call or text away.
Death is not extinguishing the light; it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.
I pray that the Good Lord will comfort Sal’s family during this time of grief.
May all that loved Sal find solace in the good memories carried within their hearts.
Joni and family,
Prayers for comfort during this sad time. Rely on the happy memories you all have created and the thought he’s no longer in pain to ease the hurt.

Love you Tammy Barksdale
I’ve known Sal over 60+ years and he was the kindest, nicest ,caring and loving person I’ve ever known He not only talked the talk but walked the walk in life. In one of our recent conversations he told me that he had no regrets in his life. Something we all aspire to have but few of us ever attain. I celebrate his life and hold all the memories forever in my heart. My deepest sympathies and prayers to all his family and loved ones especially his daughter Suzy who so unselfishly devoted her unending love, support and care to him over his last years .
Gordon and I loved Sal and thought he was a great man. We spent many moments enjoying his infectious personality and fun stories. His memory was impeccable till the end. Sal was a man who lived his life with no regrets and never had a harsh word or critical word for anyone. He, truly was the type pf person we should all emulate; to be comfortable in our own skin, to build others up, have a smile for everyone all the time, and a positive attitude. Gordon and I are so happy Sal was surrounded by his children, grandchildren and his loving sister as he passed. He was truly honored by his daughter Suzy and son in law Ricky as they took him into their home and loved him compassionately over these last years. Oh that all people would honor their parents so well. We were blessed to know Sal and we look forward to the day when we see him again. Prayers of comfort go out to the family.

I just found out about Sal’s passing. I had the pleasure of working for him for over 20 years. I had the utmost respect for him and always felt he was a stand up guy. I am sad to hear the news. Nearly every single person involved in the construction industry in Richmond knew Sal. He was a legend! Rest in Peace my old friend.
