In Loving
Memory

Sharon Gail Murrell
Nov. 26, 1958 – Dec. 04, 2021
Sharon Gail Murrell, 63, loving mother of Esron and Malika Murrell, grandmother to Saint Amiri and Justin Murrell, passed away on December 4, 2021 at 8:20 p.m. Sharon was born on November 26, 1958 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Sharon grew up in a large family with six other siblings, Kenman, Mato, Kern, Donna, Astrid and Andre. She came from meager beginnings. She attended Junior high and graduated at the top of her class in every subject for three years. Prayer was her strength as she progressed through her studies, going on to master A level exam and working for a government agency in Trinidad and Tobago. Sharon was a reverent servant of God, faithfully believing in all his works and did nothing without prayer first. She was a spiritual person who knew that with God all things are possible. She spread the word of God to everyone she encountered. Sharon was influenced by her family and never hesitated to give her time, love or anything that she had to others. Sharon often fed the homeless at the local shelters out of the trunk of her car and ministered to those struggling in life. In 1990 Sharon came to America and attended college at Pace University with a student visa. She went on to attain a bachelors in Sociology and Anthropology with a minor in Religious studies, she also obtained a Masters in Special Education and PH.D where she found her niche. Sharon was a dedicated teacher and public servant who worked hard to strengthen the goals and aspirations of students who were struggling. She encouraged every student and believed that they could succeed.
As a grandmother she enjoyed spending time with her two grandsons and spent hours laughing at all the new teenager “lingo” and toddler developments. In her free time Sharon loved to travel going to places like London, Barbados, Italy and Jamaica. She believed it was very important to stay active and was always on the go with her loving and faithful companion Bearsome aka “Steve” who also perished with her.
She will be greatly missed by her family, especially her children, Malika and Esron: her grandchildren, Justin and Saint Amiri; and siblings Astrid, Mato, Kern, Kenman and Andre; and all of her nieces and nephews.
We are confident, yes well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the lord.
2 Corinthians 5:8
We understand that people are with us for a time and we are grateful for the love and light that you gave us. You are in your heavenly home.
Rest easy. We Love You!!
Sharon is survived by her two children; two grandchildren; father; four brothers; one sister; several nieces and nephews; and extended family.

Gone but never forgotten. The light remains !!!
To my mom
Today was a hard day. ……..😔
You are not here and the world goes on. I can’t call you anymore and my heart will forever mourn. I will use the tools you have given me to persevere and I will hold your memory close because it is so dear. Even though things change for better or worse you could say that I am the same but I adjusted to all of the hurt. I will continue to stand on faith because that is what you would taught me to do I can hear your voice just say “Malika” trust in God because greater is he that is in you .
Ecclesiastes 3
New International Version
A Time for Everything
3
There is a time(A) for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,(B)
3
a time to kill(C) and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
4
a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6
a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7
a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent(D) and a time to speak,
8
a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
9 What do workers gain from their toil?(E) 10 I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race.(F) 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time.(G) He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet[a] no one can fathom(H) what God has done from beginning to end.(I) 12 I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. 13 That each of them may eat and drink,(J) and find satisfaction(K) in all their toil—this is the gift of God.(L) 14 I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him.(M)
15
Whatever is has already been,(N) and what will be has been before;(O) and God will call the past to account.[b]
16 And I saw something else under the sun:
In the place of judgment—wickedness was there, in the place of justice—wickedness was there.
17 I said to myself,
“God will bring into judgment(P) both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.”(Q)
18 I also said to myself, “As for humans, God tests them so that they may see that they are like the animals.(R) 19 Surely the fate of human beings(S) is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath[c]; humans have no advantage over animals. Everything is meaningless. 20 All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return.(T) 21 Who knows if the human spirit rises upward(U) and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?”
22 So I saw that there is nothing better for a person than to enjoy their work,(V) because that is their lot.(W) For who can bring them to see what will happen after them?
