It is with a heavy, heavy heart that i sit here today. I am so sadden about the news of my beloved friend. She will be missed. I love you my lady!
My Dearest Sharon is my cousin and my friend. We grew up together in Silverton, Oregon and have stayed in touch and close even living thousands of miles apart. I have admired and loved her. She is missed.Hugs to you Sharon.
I am so saddened by the loss of Sharon. She was a great warrior for the down-trodden. Always searching for the best that could be offered to those with the “hidden disabilities,” and always ready to fight for their rights. She always called it as it was, regardless of how it might get her in trouble with the powers that be. Speaking truth to power, all I can say is I will miss you and your inspiration..
Sharon grew up in Silverton Oregon. She was our valedictorian in 1964 at our Silverton Union High School proving she was our smartest classmate! Sharon was very sweet and friendly, both back during our school days, and all through the years.
She loved living in Virginia & made many friends there.
She will be missed.
Sharon was my cousin..our families grew up together on Strawberry Farms in the Silverton Hills in Silverton, Oregon..our families took summer vacations together after the harvest season…Sharon was a very intelligent and friendly, quiet person..I always admired her and her many accomplishments in her lifetime…she will be missed, rest in peace Sharon..
Sharon and I started Silverton high school together in the fall of 1960 as country kids from strawberry farms. It didn’t take long for her to to be recognized as one of the smartest kids in the class. Sharon finished four years of high school as the Class of 1964 Valedictorian . She was always humble, funny, loyal and generous. Those qualities, combined with her great mind, led her to accomplish outstanding things in her life, culminating with her many contributions as an administrator of Mental Health and Social Services in Virginia state government. Sharon will be sorely missed by all of us who have known, respected and loved her.
It was a privilege working with Sharon. She was insightful, compassionate, and wise, a wonderful person in every way. May we who knew her continue to share he qualities and gifts that describe Sharon so well. Let’s continue her commitment in love, The world still desperately needs this.
