Sheila Marie Babb
June 22, 1970 – June 12, 2022
Sheila Marie Babb, 51, passed away surrounded by family on June 12, 2022, at VCU Medical Center. Though she left this life too soon, she fought long and hard against a recent battle with sepsis.
Sheila was born in Japan and graduated from high school in Sidney, OH. It was in Sidney that she met her husband, Travis, and moved to Virginia Beach. Sheila attended ITT Technical Institute where she graduated as Valedictorian. Her family could not have been prouder of her accomplishment.
You would often find Sheila supporting her daughters in their extra-curricular activities. She loved playing an active role in their lives and would move mountains to let her voice be heard in support of her children. In addition to being a mother, Sheila found so much joy in being a “Nana” to her granddaughter Bristol.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roger ‘Doc’ LeMaster.
She leaves behind her mother, Emiko LeMaster; husband, Travis Babb; daughters, Amy Tate (Mark), Kristen Babb (Nathan), and Tara Babb; granddaughter, Bristol Tate; brother, Michael LeMaster (Rebecca); nephews, Anthony LeMaster (Carmen), Timothy LeMaster (Bethany), and Zackary LeMaster (Taylor); and many cousins.
While we will miss her dearly, we know without a doubt that Sheila had so much love for her family.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Emmaus Baptist Church, 6700 Emmaus Church Rd, Providence Forge, VA 23140.
