Feb. 24, 1963 – Oct. 09, 2021
Sheri Meade-Durrette, 58, of Henrico passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones at her home. Sherri loved her family more than anything. She went above and beyond as a mother, wife, and Mimi. She was selfless and very strong willed. Sheri always had her family’s back. She was so understanding, forgiving, and compassionate. Sheri loved to go on vacations with her kids and grandkids. Her favorite was the beach. She collected shells from every beach she visited. She also loved the mountains. She took hundreds of pictures when she traveled with her family. She looooved to take pictures.
Survivors include her husband, Greg Durrette; daughter Tasha Blakley; son Brandon Durrette; and two grandsons, Camden Blakley and Bryce Blakley. She was preceded in death by her father, Sidney B. Meade and her mother, Cary Meade.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 14 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Ave., Richmond, VA 23238.
I loved Sheri, she was such a pleasure to work with. She has been sorely missed and I am so sorry for your loss. She is absolutely irreplaceable. My thoughts and prayers have been with you all and will continue.
Sheri, was my Aunt and Will truly be missed. She was the matriarch of the family. She always tried to stay close with everyone, always capturing memories, always thinking of others, she loved deeply. I know that we all will miss her. I had the privilege of seeing her before she passed and I know that she is now at peace. She battled long and hard and was so very strong. It is now time that God has her in his arms and she can rest.
I want to mention how this has touched her other family members: (Brother) Michael Meade, (wife) Brenda & their family, (Brother) Terry Meade, (wife) Elaine. & their family. Are heartbroken and will miss her deeply.
Rest In Peace Sheri <3

Sheri was my beautiful Cousin , her and her Husband took care of the photography at my wedding 11 years ago and she gave me a photo album to put our pictures in. She fought with all she had. Heaven gained another Angel . I love you Sheri .
My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Sheri and her family lived down the road from my family for years. Heaven has indeed gained another angel.
