Shirley Ann Christmas, 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 16, 2017.
Shirley Ann Banks Christmas peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on Monday October 16, 2017. Shirley was born May 1, 1935 to the late David and Annie Mae Banks. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Loretta Banks McCoy and David E. (Bubba) Banks Sr.
Shirley leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and devoted husband of Forty-seven years, Thomas L. Christmas; son, Dwayne Christmas; three grandchildren, Brandon, Justin and Monica Christmas; sister, Delores B. Yarborough; sisters-in-law, Shirley Ann Banks, Mary Stroble and Bernadette Aikins; a devoted nephew, Rudolph Banks; two devoted friends, Gloria Jackson and Corinne Ward; nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Her infectious dimpled smile and warm spirit will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 22, from 4-6 pm at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Parkway, Richmond, VA 23231. Services will be held at West End Assembly of God on Monday, October 23 at 11 am. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Thank you Aunt Shirley for showing us the way to Christ. We will surely miss you
Shirley, you taught me so many life lessons over the years. I will always cherish our friendship and will never forget your beautiful smile and loving spirit!
I will truly miss the beauty of the Lord shown through your soft spoken words, your lovely smile, and the way you lived your life. Thank you Aunt Shirley, rest well.
Aunt Shirley, your love for our family and the Lord will always be embedded in our hearts. You was our family Angel and will be truly missed.
