Shirley Elvin Tuck, Jr, 74, died in Richmond, VA on May 7, 2017.
Born on August 21, 1942 in Richmond, VA, he was the son of the late Shirley Elvin Tuck, Sr. and Mary Stone Tuck. He married Marianne Thomas Ward on October 21, 1967 in Richmond, VA. He graduated from Freeman High School in 1962 and attended Danville Technical Institute.
Shirley served in the Army, National Guard, and was a Life Member of Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad. He retired from Lucent Technologies then filled his days running his AMSOIL business, volunteering with Raceway Ministries, and serving in many roles at Derbyshire Baptist Church. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 347, Needles Eye Ministries, and Man Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marianne, children, Elizabeth Fallon and Warren Tuck (Elizabeth), and grandchildren Sabastian and Paisley Fallon, Aubrey and Jonathan Tuck, and John Bricker, III.
A memorial service to honor his life will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. in the Derbyshire Baptist Church Sanctuary, 8800 Derbyshire Road, Richmond, VA 23229 with a reception following the service. Donations may be made to Derbyshire Baptist Church.

Elvin and I were friends both in high school, working at the A&P Supermarket in the Village Shopping Center as well as at Derbyshire Baptist Church for several years before we moved from Richmond in 1984. Please accept my condolences in your lossof Elvin. Frank Leonard
