Soniya Milan Mehta
June 9, 1985 – June 21, 2023
Soniya Mehta, 38, of Glen Allen, VA passed away on June 21, 2023. She was born on June 9, 1985, to Nitin and Hansa Desai.
Soniya, the most loving and devoted wife, daughter, sister is survived by her husband, Milan; parents Nitin and Hansa Desai; In-laws Kiran and Kishor Mehta; brother, sister in law, and niece Jay, Trusha, and Zoya; and brother in laws Anand and Mehul.
Soniya was born in Godhra, India before moving to the US in her early teens. She attended JMU and obtained her bachelors. She met Milan, the love of her life at JMU and got married in 2013. She loved to travel and meet new people. Most of all, many will remember how her laugh could change the energy of an entire room. She had the personality and natural charisma to make friends no matter the situation and she truly cared about her loved ones, even until her last day.
Her ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive and love will be forever ingrained in all the people she knew.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23294. All are welcome to attend.
