For a time in my life during my childhood, this woman was my Mema. She adopted me as if I was a blood relative , like she had known me since I was born. She was an extraordinary woman, and had a heart of gold. Her kindness touched everyone she met. She could certainly cheer you up with her humor. She was the coolest Mema who ever lived. I will never forget her, her kindness, and what that taught me. My dear Mema, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for being a Mema to me. I wish I could have told you this, but I pray that you know it now.

Susan, you were a dear, special, long-time friend of mine. I will miss you dearly. I will always remember how supportive you were when I needed your friendship the most. You were always there for me. I enjoyed our lunches together when we used to meet with our grandchildren and our weekly lunches for the last six years or so. You have been a very important part of my life. You will be missed.
