Susan Kay Levin

January 24, 1949 – September 26, 2023

Susan Kay Levin, 74, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, in Richmond, Virginia.

Susan is survived by her children, Miranda Fristoe (Aron) and Jennifer Cramer (Sara); grandchildren, Mason and Peyton Fristoe, and Scotland and Skyler Hatter; a brother, Michael Worrell (Sheilah); a nephew, Steven Worrell (Joselin); father of Scotland and Skyler, James Hatter; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Levin; parents, Robert and Mary Worrell; and a niece, Bryci Worrell.

Susan was born on January 24, 1949, in Syracuse, New York.  Her family moved to Lititz, Pennsylvania where she graduated from Warwick High School. After a blind date at the bowling alley, she fell in love and married Jerry on October 21, 1967, and they were happily married for 35 years. She was a proud Air Force wife and stay-at-home mom. His military career would allow them to reside in Mississippi, Michigan, Colorado, Montana, Florida, and Virginia. Once her children were grown, she worked at Village Americana, an antique reproduction store in Occoquan, Virginia, for many dedicated years showing her love for period furniture and decor. She retired in Montclair at a beautiful home overlooking the lake before she relocated to Richmond, Virginia, to be closer to family.

Susan was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was an avid animal lover, a collector of antiques and redware, a creative interior decorator, a gifted cook and baker, and a welcoming hostess.

The family will receive friends at a Memorial Gathering held in her honor from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Parkway, Richmond, VA 23294. Susan will be interred at Quantico National Cemetery in Quantico, Virginia with her husband. The interment will be private.
