Tony Stuart Slusher, 62, of Henrico County passed away peacefully after a long illness on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
Tony was an avid fisherman and competed in multiple fishing tournaments where he received multiple citations. He enjoyed seasonal camping at Grey’s Point Campground from 2000 to 2013. Tony loved to garden, meet new people, and tell stories. He also enjoyed working as a sound technician with the Dan Schutt Band.
Survivors include his mother, Ethel Slusher; sister, Jeanette Probyloski; brother, Gary Slusher; partner of 35 years, Charlotte Hager; and stepdaughter, Holly West and her husband, Brian. Tony was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Slusher.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023, with a memorial service to follow at 3 p.m. at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23294. Click here to view the live-streamed memorial service for Tony Stuart Slusher.

It’s sad to have lost my cousin. I have fond memories of us playing together when he and family would visit us when we lived in Michigan. Aunt Ethel, Jeanette and Charlotte., you’re in our thoughts, as well.

Charlotte I am so sorry Tony was not only a fishing buddy but a true friend. I can’t make it due to a hip replacement I had Tuesday. I have been praying for you and y’all family. May he RIP he’s not hurting and I am sure he is telling everyone about fishing. Love y’all

I have had the privilege on being Tony and Charlotte’s backyard neighbor for 35 years. Tony and I solved lots of the worlds problems and shared each others gardening secrets. I will miss him greatly.
